Fauquier Youth Football – PO Box 819, Bealeton, VA22712
Fauquier Youth Football and Fauquier Wolfpack are continuing to work out the details on a Youth Organizations merger. Uniting the members has brought on a renewed enthusiasm to the league and will result in a better experience for our local youth! Below are some key points we will be addressing at our next Kick-Off Meeting, which will take place on Friday, April 22nd. The meeting location is still being determined. We will send that out once a location has been decided upon. At this meeting we will expand upon these changes and more.
Key Discussion Points
6U – Rookie Division
The Rookie Division will have modified rules to provide the best possible learning experience for your young child. This division will be a great introduction into the game of football. As part of the rule modifications, instead of 11 players vs. 11 players, we will have 8 players vs. 8 players, tackle football. This reduced number will enable coaches to better instruct during the game.
Midnight Madness Kick-Off
The season will kick-off on Saturday July 23rd, with a League Wide Cook-Out. The event will start at 5pm and will include games, food, and a movie (all outside). At midnight the league will take to the field together for 1 hour of football fun and will signify the start to the 2016 season.
FYF will still maintain the Inter-County Division of Football. Inter-County play will continue to be offered for the following divisions:

regarding options for football this season
We are pleased to announce that cheer will be updating their uniform process!
Cheer coaches will complete online certification classes as well as a coaches’ clinic.
We will be adding more resources to the website to help the coaches feel more prepared.
Girls will have the option to participate in an Invitational at the end of the season with Rec Squads from other counties.
What is different for you?
Unity! For years, the youth football community has been divided by organizational names. Our goal is to bring everyone together, united as one successful community. This will result in quality equipment and uniforms for your child, no matter which division they sign-up for. It will also result in Coaching Staff being trained and certified even more than ever before, with a focus on safety.
Enthusiasm! The newly formed Board is expanding on new ideas to help deliver a better product to the community.
Jerseys!!! Players love having the best uniforms, and we have gone the extra step to give everyone something to be proud of. These drastic new looks will be revealed at the meeting!
Giving back to the community. It is important to teach our children the importance of “giving back”. Fauquier Youth Football will be involved in many upcoming events and will invite the members of our organization to be involved.
Academics!!! A new level of priority will be given to academics within our organization. Working hard in school is just as important as working hard at practice. Fauquier Youth Football is putting together ideas on improving our recognition of both grades and attendance in school.
The Tiny Mite and Mitey Mite divisions are not going to be offered for Travel.
At the instructional ages, we believe we will be better suited to offer these as an Inter-County division instead of Travel. This will help better prepare your child for the game of football.
The 14U Division is not going to be offered for Inter-County play.
Due to a decline in participants at this age-level, fielding enough teams for a division to keep play “in County” has become difficult. It has resulted in low roster counts and accepting games from Travel Organizations in order to make a schedule.
This division will be offered on the Travel side. Travel will consist of (4) games at Liberty High School and (4) away games. The extent of travel will be Manassas, Fredericksburg, Loudoun, and Dale City. We do not anticipate a regular season game outside of that area.
By offering this age group as a Travel division, we can provide a better experience and better prepare your child for the next level of football at High School. Roster sizes will be increased so your child will not be worn down during the season. Competition is increased to keep your young player growing.
FYF/Wolfpack is currently accepting applications for Coaches, for Inter-County and Travel, and player registration is now OPEN.
The registration process will remain the same. You can sign-up for either division of play at www.fauquieryouthfootball.com, or visit us at one of our Football Registration tables.
We are excited to announce the merger of Fauquier Youth Football and Fauquier Wolfpack.
This is a huge step for football in Fauquier County. The two organizations are coming together to do what is best for the youth in this area. We live in such a small community, that it didn’t make sense to continue to divide the players, parents, and coaches of this county.
The merger will put both organizations under one umbrella. We did not want to lose the tradition of either name or organization, so Fauquier Wolfpack will become a division of Fauquier Youth Football.
The new organization will provide a healthy environment to develop boys and girls of all ages. By forming the new organization, we can unify the players, coaches, and families of this County. We have always taught Teamwork and by the two groups working together to make this merger happen, we are setting an example of how working together can create great things.
The new organization will provide an opportunity for children of all ages to participate in the top local and travel leagues, elite regional and national tournaments, and offer off-season workout and conditioning programs.
There will much more exciting news in the coming months as we work through the transition into offering a one-source location for both County and Travel Football and Cheer. Please watch for updates
