Liberty Football Youth Camp - Nxt Week!

Liberty High School Youth Football Camp!!

The camp will stress the fundamentals of football. Campers will receive individual instruction on both offense and defense. The camp will focus on the complete athlete with talks on nutrition, goal setting, grades, visualization, etc.

The camp will be staffed by the Liberty High School Varsity Football staff. Assisting the staff will be former Liberty Stand-out players who are presently playing or preparing to play in college. Also on hand to assist with the demonstrations and instructions will be current Liberty players.

Guest Speaker: Reggie WellS went to Clarion University where he was a four-year starter, garnering two NCAA Division II All-America honors, and was a two-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference choice. Wells was drafted in the sixth round (177th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.  He was awarded for his hard work and named offensive captain for the Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.  He would end up playing for Multiple Teams over a 10 year Career, playing in 119 NFL games and starting 93 of them

NEW for 2017!!!

Fauquier Youth Football/Wolfpack

NEW FOR 2017:

  1. Registration Payment plan:

Not ready to pay your full registration fee today?  You now will have the option of making a down payment then set up monthly auto payments to pay the balance.  This is a great way to take advantage of the early bird rates without paying all at once!

***This will be ready by the end of this week!

2.)  Draft System:

Why Draft?

The intent of the draft is to provide a method for establishing teams through equitable selection process by coaches with oversight by FYF Board Members.

What does this mean?

Players will be required to attend an evaluation session. Evaluation sessions are designed to allow players to demonstrate their skills on the field. Players will be evaluated by coaches and the FYF/WP Board of Directors prior to the Draft Selection by Coaches.

How does this help our players?

  • Better distribution of the number of players, size and experience of players across the league evenly and fairly.

  • More competitiveness due to the balancing of players.

  • Opportunity of meeting new people and making new friends.

3.) Middle School Division (13U)

In 2016 FYF/WP decided to dissolve the 14U division offering 13 year old’s the option to play on the 13U Wolfpack Competitive Travel Team.  This was a great opportunity for those experienced players wanting to transition from youth football to high school.  This year, we will continue to have our 13U WP team however, will be offering 13 year old’s newer to football the opportunity of playing another year in FYF Inter-county in our 13U Middle School Division.

4.) Partnership with CYF – Culpepper Youth Football League

In an effort to allow more diversity and challenge for our teams we will schedule “non-conference” games with our Culpeper Youth Football neighbors.  After our FYF Championship games we will schedule a "regional" championship game to have their 1st place play our 1st place teams and 2nd place play their 2nd place and so on...   This is a great opportunity to for both leagues to work together in building both programs.

Fauquier Youth Football/Wolfpack is committed to working together in assisting in the development of players and coaches as they continue through FYF/WP.  This will allow all FYF/WP players and families to have a positive football experience.

Partnership with Local Rec League

We are excited to announce the partnership between two of the area’s largest recreational football programs, CFA (Culpeper Football Association) and FYF (Fauquier Youth Football). This partnership will bring some exciting changes and additions to the 2017 Fall Season.

Teams from CFA and FYF will now have an opportunity to play against each other in non-conference games. This helps add variety to the regular season and post season. Teams will have the opportunity to play a couple games out of county.

Post season games will include Champion vs. Champion and other non-champion/conference games. The games will take place at a High School facility within the two counties and rotate every season between Fauquier and Culpeper.

The partnership will also allow the two organizations to work together on camps, clinics and coaches training. This will create an opportunity to share information on how to improve our sport leagues to serve kids in both areas.

In addition, CFA and FYF will work together to form better deals on equipment, uniforms, and other expenditures required by the leagues. The partnership is a win/win for the kids, parents, and everyone involved!

We look forward to developing this ongoing relationship that will ultimately benefit players, family and leagues.
